In this demonstration we as a crevavi team have prototyped Automatic rain sensing windshield wiper system..
As you can see in the video, 1st Led indicates automatic control, which means when rain is detected based on the intensity wiper starts to wipe windshield (pause)and also the moment rain stops wiper halts its operation and get back to its position.
This plays vital role when there is hassle to locate the windshield wiper stock and turn it on at right speed This becomes convenient and potentially real safety benefit when driving through heavy rain.
In normal condition, you can manually control the speed of wiper using rotary switch as a regulator. Here you can see from 3rd Led indicates manual control using switch. Where you can change wiper speed upto 3 levels, which becomes convenient method to change speed manually.

For this system to work, the hardware setup includes Automotive microcontroller unit,12V Dc supply, stepper motor, and stepper motor driver, rain detecting IR sensor, rotary switch, and a Glass module to represent windshield.
